I kept the DMN sports page from Jan. 2, 1964. Probably few 6th grade girls were as happy as I was on that New Year's day.
That's AWESOME! Thanks for posting that!

Good afternoon sir. I'm thinking I will partake in the Austin Happy Hour tomorrow and I'm now living in San Antonio. Thought I'd check with you and see if you plan on attending, and if so if you would care to ride together. I'm not in need of a ride and my schedule is pretty open after 12. I believe Eric will be at cover 3 early. Probably at 3 or 4. Just wanted to check and see if you cared for a ride.
Can't make it tomorrow, going to Dallas in the AM. But good to know you're in SA. SAHorn and I often share a ride just for company. There's a Park and Ride on I-35 in Selma, makes it convenient too. Have fun tomorrow, but drive carefully! Here's to next time.
Oh ok. Thanks for the info. I moved in with my girlfriend and am going to school full time. Working on getting into the Nursing program and becoming an RN.

I'm in Fort Worth; how can I pick up the tickets? Thanks
Not sure if you got my message in your inbox, but if you give me an address I can fedex the tickets. I am leaving town on Friday so would need to overnight to you today or tomorrow so you have them in time.
Am taking my little granddaughter to her fist Longhorn game.
I'm interested in your tickets!
No longer available
What are you looking to get for them?
Eric, my buddy was on the team plane this weekend. He was with Perrin Saturday and had dinner afterwards.
Perrin did not say anything but was visibly upset with the game. People around were attempting to be proper but things were being said.
Thank you so much, TexasEx09! The sub account seems to work for me. I can't believe I can watch the LHN!! I greatly appreciate it!
How much ? I want 2.....
I'm wondering what the meaning of your handle Omahorn is? I work for Mutual of Omaha Bank and thought maybe you were a Longhorn residing in hostile territory.
"thought maybe you were a Longhorn residing in hostile territory" We lived in Papillion for 28 years. The first 5 years we had UT Football and Baseball season tickets, we were the ONLY ones living in the State of Nebraska. We were also the only Longhorn Alumni Band members living in Nebraska and starting w the 2002 CWS, became the Longhorn Alumni Traveling Band.
Is there anything to the "surge" in recruiting interest for UT post ND? Report is that kids are calling that have not previously been in touch with UT.
Saw you were trying to sell a couple of tickets to UTEP. You still selling them.
Yea I still have them
Hey Bates. I found an old Esquire Magazine article from Jan 1992 that I knew -- but it didn't mention (specifically) higher rate of substance abuse for NFL players. But, even though it's quite old, it's a great article. I'd love to share it, but it might be too long to simply copy and paste. I'll do it, though, if you like. Let me know.
Thanks! Can you email me the link instead?
Nice AVI. Love it.

No really, is it real?
The tallest bridge in Texas, the Rainbow Bridge that connects Port Arthur to Bridge City was commissioned in 1931. Just up the river in Beaumont, locals petitioned to have the bridge built tall enough to allow shipping to continue to reach their city, so the bridge was made with a clearance of 177 feet, and it’s truly a thrill to drive over.
I had a carload of upstate New York ers with me one time and I kicked it up a notch going over the bridge. I thought it was funny. They didn't. That's some interesting data there.
