It's not a time for celebration or partying, or for partisan bleating (even from me...I won't, not tonight).

I think chanting USA USA like they are on TV seems a bit much. I get the sentiment, but I think it's a bit off.

It is a time for grim satisfaction. We finally got the mother fu-cker that murdered 3,000 Americans. He was pure evil - he used fundamentalist fervor to try to set himself up as the leader of the Arab world, and his political ambition led to tens of thousands of deaths. He deserved to die, and he finally did.

I just don't see it as a big festive occasion. A night to be content, a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. It's done, the guy is dead, and few people on the planet have deserved to die more.

I have heard a few interviews with family members of those who died in the 9-11 atttacks and some of them are pretty pumped.

I'm sure it will be different for other families.

I am drinking a toast to those operators and to all who have been hunting that very evil man for the last 10 years.
There was a promise made back then...That no matter how long it took...no matter what the cost....no matter where it took us....
That we would exact justice and hunt down Bin Laden.....
Promise made...Promise Kept.
I can gaurantee you that there is not a operator past or present who would not have given his left nut to be in on that op......Cheers to them.

Everyone need to just put all of the personal attacks and politics to rest for a night.
Tonight is not a night for that crap.
Tonight we are not Dems or Pubs....Christian or athiest.....North or South.
