Not half as excited as Garrido, who cracked, “It took us 15 minutes to figure out how to score Marlow’s hit (in the scorebook). We finally saw there is a home run column.”

How many times have we heard, Baylor does not belong in the Big 12? All of a sudden the Bears have been outstanding in the Big Sports in our conference. What in the h-ll is going on?

After a rough weekend, Texas still finds itself om 2nd behind Baylor. The Bears have had the pleasure of playing the 1st 3 conference series at home. This weekend they will travel to Missouri and the follow weekend they travel to Manhattan to take on KSU.
Texas goes on the road to Lubbock to take on Tech where Texas needs to win 2-3 from Tech. Tech on the other hand would love to do anything possible to take out Texas.
A&M will be hosting OU this weekend, where both teams will be fighting to prove their season.

The Big 12 Conference is at the half way point and Baylor is off to an amazing start. True they have played the bottom half and have played 9 of the 12 at home but to be standing there at 12-0 shows that Steve Smith has his ball club headed in the right direction.
- Baylor’s 12-0 start in Big 12 play is the best by any team in the Big 12 Conference’s 16-year history. The best previous start was 7-0 by Texas in 1999.
The last half of the season will really tell the baseball world where Baylor fits in Hosting conversation.
Baylor 12-0 in Conference Play
4/13-15 @ Kansas State
4/20 @ A&M/ 4/21-22 @Baylor
5/11-13 @ Oklahoma
5/17 Texas-5/18-19 @Texas
A&M is sitting 7-2 in Conference play
4/13-15 Kansas
4/20- 22 Baylor
4/27 Texas-28-29 @ Texas
5/4-6 Texas Tech
5/17-19 @ Oklahoma State
Texas 7-2 in Conference Play
4/13-15 Oklahoma State
4/20-22 Kansas
4/27-29 A&M
5/4-6 @ Missouri
5/17-19 Baylor

Beginning to look like a 3 team race....question is will Baylor be far enough ahead to be able to lose one or both series with aggie/Texas to claim the regular season.....

KSU is up on Baylor in their 3rd game, 9-7 in the 8th inning.
Baylor has come right back with a 3 run shot and then a solo shot, going to the bottom of the 8th.

Well, I'm sure they have contributed to it some, but their 5 opponents are the bottom 5 in the conference...but Texas has lost 3 to those teams, so Baylor has taken care of business.
Texas' sweep of OU on the road is still looking pretty good, and Baylor has to go to OU as well, after taking on aggie this coming weekend (2 at home for BU)...
Hard not to want BU to sweep the aggies, even if it would put them closer to clinching the regular season championship...

Baylor has now swept the 1st 6 Big 12 opponents- Amazing job that Steve Smith has done in Waco. They can play long ball or small ball.

My only question with Baylor is them giving up 21 unearned runs in Big 12 play.....that is the most by far in the conference....They must put a lot of pressure on opponents offensively, but that is just a horrible stat for their D, imo.

The calendar will flip to May and these series will become more important.
Texas needs to take 2-3 from Missouri-in Columbia.
Tech has to go to College Station, where they might be able to take 1 from A&M
Then it is OU/OSU and they are both beginning to pick up their level of play.
