What concerts are you attending this summer or the ...
rest of the year. I am going to Kiss / Motley Crue, Great White, Scorpions and Dwight Yoakam. Who will you see if anyone?

I saw Wade Bowen last night at Southern Junction. Great show, awesome venue. He's got a new album set for release at the end of this month and, judging from what I heard last night, it's going to be good.
I'm going to see Sons of Bill at the House of Blues later this month.
Jackopierce is playing a reunion show at the Granada in June, and nostalgia is beckoning me to attend.

One of these things is not like the other things, one of these things does not belong...

I really don't go to concerts anymore, last one I went to was when Mick Jagger and the Stones were at Reliant. It was a good show, but getting in and out, the crowds, the parking, the traffic...Isn't worth it to me anymore.

No, I never did. I attended a few shows in Deep Ellum back in its hey-day in the mid-1990s, but I really didn't get into the bands like CoE who were strictly in the Dallas music scene.

Big Head Todd, Barenaked Ladies and Blues Traveler in The Woodlands in July.
I saw the Spazmatics the other night. I'm pretty sure if world peace is ever brokered it will be at a Spazmatics concert. Those guys are fun.

Nice. One of my all-time favorite shows was Big Head Todd opening for Dave Matthews Band in 1995 at the Mud Island Amphitheater in Memphis. Both bands were in their prime, the venue is awesome, and my date was smoking hot. Good times.

I saw Sons of Bill at the House of Blues here in Dallas on Thursday night. Great show (although, judging from the crowd, it's clear that they don't draw here in Texas as well as they do back east). These guys are one my favorite bands in recent years. If you like Son Volt, Ryan Adams, old Steve Earle, then you'll like them.
The opening act was intriguing, an Austin band called Sons of Fathers (no connection between the two bands, just coincidence in the booking). For those of you who like Mumford & Sons, you should check these guys out. They bring that same Irish folk rock sound, but with a Texas edge.

I've never seen Reel Big Fish live, but I'll bet it's fun. Seems like their wheels are permanently off. I love their covers of "Beer" and "Take on Me."

Yep, its his new side project/band. Kind of a jam band that has some originals but also throws in a few covers, some Crowes tunes & some New Earth Mud (CR's previous side project) stuff.

Haha! You know her then? She sang at my wedding. It was awesome! Others that may not know her, she's been a backup singer with Lyle Lovett for a LONG time. He usually let's her sing a song or two when he's here. I don't know about elsewhere. But you can really hear her on "Here I am".

Saw Jimmy Buffett Sat at the Woodlands. That guy has got it wired, knocks down $100MM a year and goes to work wearing baggies and barefoot.
