Thought there might be some folks who appreciate/collect blades.
Would enjoy seeing what the rest of ya'll collect.
The three above are True Damascus (7 layers folded 60 times with 6 Hi _Carbon/1 Soft steel) and hand forged.
Have a few more like this and a assortment of Survival/Tactical/Hunting/Pocket/Kitchen blades.
I enjoy looking at and handling fine work like these knives.

Nice! I’m taking the kiddos for a run, but I’ll be back in the next day or so to talk knives and post a few pics of my own.

Below is the serialized Chris Reeve Knives Yarborough Knife I received upon graduation from the Q-Course. A nifty heirloom gift for one of my sons. Problem is I have twin boys...

So prior to an Afghanistan trip in 2011 I acquired a custom replica of a particular museum-housed Bowie knife and carried it throughout my trip, with the express purpose of it being my Yarborough equivalent.

The Afghans would ask about the huge knife on my plate carrier, and I’d tell them the story of Jim Bowie and that my ancestors had killed our enemies with this Bowie knife for generations. They respected the “family tradition.” I knew it was working when a village elder I hadn’t met from another village sat next to me and asked through our translator, “So, tell me the story of Jim Bowie.” I’m an Arabic speaker (so I don’t speak any more than the most basic Pashtu), but the words “Jim Bowie” were unmistakable in the sentence. So now I have a knife and cool story for both my sons. Problem is I have a third son on the way this fall...

I have a Winkler II Hunting knife the inbound son may receive but I’m too lazy to go find it so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Below is my daily carry folder, a Chris Reeve Umnumzaan. Unless I lose it it will last me a very, very long time.

    Nice!
Those are very high quality knives.
Function and beauty....Has me drooling here.
My biggest problem would be saying I liked my kids enough to part with them...lol
Have a Cold Steel folder I will have to post.
All three of those are good stuff.

    "Black" Knife collection.
    L-R...
Shrade Hunting Knife, K-Bar Marine Combat Knife, K-Bar Companion, Cold Steel Tanto, Micro Tech Folder (iirc...older knife I carry in truck).
The Shrade and Companion are 1/4" thick and damned near indestructible.
Have these in vehicle Kit, Home Kit and carry, along with Tactical Tomahawks, E-Tools and other assorted toys.

Gonna have to go find my Ontario and Emerson.

Gunny, there is a ton of workmanship, knowledge and beauty in those pictures. I need to jump in the game on a Damascus steel knife. I have a Damascus steel double barrel shotgun from the 1800's and it gives me joy holding it in my hands.

Yeah....Gotta admit that I honestly appreciate the workmanship and beauty of them.
Had to go old school to sharpen them due to how damned hard they are.
But they hold a good edge as well.

For anyone interested in collecting a Damascus blade.
Let me know and I will get you a deal with the couple who made mine.
They retired from making them for the last 50 years and are now selling off inventory.

I'm in Gunny. I'll be in touch with you next week. Got some health issues to clear up on first. I'd love to have that old school craftsmanship in a knife for myself.

How much are we talking, TP? My brother in law is a knife collector. I like him...but not that much. May just be interested in one for myself.

They are on the road this week.
Will try to get some pricing and post it.
I can say that all of the knives I posted here should be under $75.00.
If necessary I will buy a group of them and sell them at cost plus actual shipping to folks on here to help out.
I'm not looking to make any money on them....Just really like the craftsmanship and quality of the knives, and thought there might be some folks here of the same mind.

    Edit: Or?
If you want to pay retail....Go to Donglatz.com . I can't speak for that selection as I have not actually handled them....And do not know what they would charge me for any of them, but will find out for any who are interested.
(Hope I am not violating anything on InsideTexas doing this.....Not trying to sell/profit on anything...Just like the stuff)
