2013 was somewhat of a down year for defensive backs in Texas with only three routinely finding themselves in the state’s top 30 (Maurice Smith, Antwuan Davis, and Kameron Miles) and only a handful more rounding out the top 100 (Baltimore, Collins, Garner, Huhn, Barrows, Jupe).
What a difference a year makes. The class of 2014 is packed with DBs, and unlike this year where Akina gave out three offers to non-Texans, I don’t see UT leaving the state for a defensive back this year.
